Dr. Kennison is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in the evaluation and treatment of adults with trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bereavement, life crises, and tobacco addiction. Dr. Kennison specializes in post trauma problems utilizing both medications and trauma therapy such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a bilateral stimulation, voluntary image replacement, evidence based therapy.
Dr. Kennison is a retired Colonel with 30 years of commissioned service in both the US Navy and Florida Army National Guard. Her military experience includes treating soldiers with combat stress and related concerns.
Dr. Kennison has a PhD and MSN from the University of Florida. She has a MA in counseling from Liberty University.
