Douglas Knapp, MSN, APRN, is a ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing from Jacksonville University and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Columbia College. His mission is to provide holistic, patient-centered care that promotes mental wellness and improves the quality of life for his patients. Throughout his career, Doug has had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including military service, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and inpatient substance use facilities. This broad experience has equipped him with the skills to manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions and to develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.
Doug's approach to psychiatric care is integrative and evidence based. He believes in the power of a collaborative relationship between patient and practitioner, where open communication and mutual respect are the foundation of successful treatment. He utilizes a combination of psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to help his patients achieve their mental health goals.
